I make pancakes, waffles, and French toast regularly for breakfast. If I
am organized, I will double my recipe so that the kids have extras to
eat on the mornings I am taking dh to the hospital for therapy.
After stacking our items on the serving plate for breakfast, the waffles,
pancakes, French toast would get soggy. A few months ago I started
placing these items on my cooling racks. This keeps them nice and crispy
because they are not affected by the steam rising from the other items.
To store the items for another breakfast, allow them to cool completely.
Then layer wax or parchment paper between the pancakes, waffles, etc…
Freeze in a gallon size ziploc bag. Then remove from freezer as needed and
reheat in the microwave. You can enjoy a hot breakfast any day of the week without all the clean-up!

I might just give freezing pancakes a try again after reading your tip to cool them on cooling racks before freezing! Thanks!
Did you read my reply to you on my blog to your question about the foodsaver? I was going to email you, sad to say I got caught up in other things and then forgot!
Great tip! I’ve been planning on freezing a batch of pancakes so I’m gonna make sure to follow your advice when I finally get off my butt and do it. Thanks for sharing this.
So very Smart. I enjoyed my visit here. I will come again. Thanks for sharing.
I do this too, also with omlettes and French Toast. SUCH a time saver!! Good idea on the cooling racks, LOL-I just put them on a plate!
Have a lovely day!
Wow, I never thought to use my cooling rack for pancakes and waffles! I’m going to try that next time I make them! Brilliant idea!
I do this all the time! It works like a charm! I have even found that taking a dry hand towel and putting it over the items on the cooling rack keep the items warm but not soggy!
Thanks for sharing!
Enjoy the rest of your week!
I freeze my too but dd complains that they are tough. Any solutions why?
Great Tip! I love it. That keeps me from buying the Eggo Waffles and Pancakes for those days we don’t have time to cook.

What a great idea. Thank you for sharing.

That is a cool idea, no pun intended. I make breakfast for the kids in the morning while my wife takes a shower and when I do make pancakes or waffles I always seem to make to much and they go to waste. I may have to try this idea, thanks for the tip!
