Yes ~ I suppose you could try it with a new one, but it works great with sheets that have already been through the dryer.

		<description>That is a great idea!  I have learned a similar tip as a result of scorching a cream sauce and being left with a blackened mess inside my pot.  Put a bit of water in the pot with some baking soda and boil it on the stove and the blackened mess comes right off.</description>
