I am happy to report that I was under my March grocery goal of $575. My grand total for March was $460.45! I am very pleased with that amount, although there is no way I would have been able to spend that little if it wasn’t for the free food we received at the beginning of the month. I have set my grocery goal at $575 for April to see if I can meet that goal without the help of all the free groceries.
If you are wondering what we did with the surplus, we took the money on our mini-vacation and used it to purchase meals out and a few groceries. We spent every penny!
I am hoping in April, I will be able to stock up on sales, if there are any, because my pantry and freezer are depleted after the past few months.
WOW!!! I am impressed!! I can’t believe you did it. You are motivating me. I KNOW I spend way to much money on groceries. Little trips to the market add up…and fast. I am going to be trying to come up with my own goal this month.
